Nominated for CSR People Prize 2015

In October the CSR People Prize Award Show was held in Vejle, Denmark and BM Silo was among the final three nominees for the award. The award highlights among others the special social responsibilities towards the employees or the local community in relation to preventing employee attrition and accidents at work, as well as maintaining and letting in vulnerable groups in the labour market.

One of the highlighted reasons why BM Silo was nominated is that when we are recruiting new employees, we have a principle that we want to hire unemployed people. Over the years we have developed a model called “Spot a Job” for the integration of unemployed, where newly appointed typically will be located in outer functions, where the degree of specialization is low, but where they have the opportunity to contribute and enhance their qualifications.

We have a will and a desire to get people who have had a difficult start in life, into the labour market and to give young people the desire to educate themselves and work for us.

Unfortunately, we did not win a prize this time but in return, it was a tremendous experience to be among the final three nominees, not least a great recognition for our work.
