Reliable indoor pellet storage for Swedish bioenergy plant
Marks Energi AB has modernised its district heating plant in Hyssna, which supplies heat to the local school, elderly care facilities and private homes. As part of the upgrade, MAFA installed four 25 m³ indoor silos from BM Silo, each mounted on load cells to ensure a stable and well-controlled pellet flow.
The previous scraper container system has been replaced with a cleaner, more efficient pellet-based setup. Material is now transferred from each silo to a 720 litre intermediate hopper and onward to the boiler via a Maflex screw conveyor. The result is a more consistent fuel supply and improved operational reliability.
